 The Perfect Base

fishing lakes/rivers a short drive away and the cottage is a perfect location for country
lovers, walkers, bird watchers, nature lovers, fishing enthusiasts,
horse racing fans, antique hunters, tourists looking for a base away
from a city centre location or families looking for a relaxing break. The Nature Reserve and SSS provides many
different public footpaths and country walks leading to bird watching
hides, nearby villages/pubs or simply circular walks with stunning
views.
EATING OUT: Local pub providing excellent seasonal cuisine and
small shop attached to local garage are a few minutes walk away and
there is a choice of Michelin Star restraurants within 30 minutes drive
including: Le Champignon
Sauvageor Casamia
in Westbury on Trym, 5
North Street in Winchcombe and Lords of the Manor in Upper
Slaughter. Alternatively, the local pub, The Swan,
invites you to sample its wares and will give you a very warm and
comfortable welcome

July: Tewkesbury Medieval Festival &
Cheltenham Cricket Festival
October: Cheltenham Literature Festival The Cotswolds and its many pretty
villages are less than 30 minutes drive and the Malverns Hills and the
amazing Forest of Dean are also within easy striking distance of this
charming cottage base. The M5 is located nearby and provides easy access
to the major cities of Birmingham (50 miles/one hour drive) Bristol (40
miles/45 minute drive) and Cardiff (70 miles /75mins)
And if it rains, why not take in a
movie!
